The Amherst Community Band is a group of dedicated community members who gather together to practice and play an exciting repertoire of music each summer. This is a truly multi-generational band—octogenarians play alongside college students. The band is directed by Timothy Todd Anderson, the director of The UMASS Minuteman Marching Band (invited to participate in the 2017 Rose Parade in Pasadena, CA). Anderson presents a wonderful backstory to every arrangement with stories about the composers to enrich the experience for all. Consider ordering a special Black Sheep Deli picnic spread for the event.
