DOWNTOWN BEATS THURSDAY EVE CONCERT SERIES
Free Thursday Concerts in the Town Commons
5:30 – 7:30 pm
This year, we’re excited to try out a new location for our Thursday concerts in the Town Common on the site where architect Frederick Law Olmstead proposed a bandshell. The stage with covered tent will be set up on Wednesdays and we’re opening the space up to the community.
About the Artists:
A great late afternoon of music featuring The O-Tones – Jump-Jive, New England Swing and StompBoxTrio, an amazing blend of 20th-century American music with 21st-century mojo to create a sonic soulful sound all their own.
Evelyn Harris on vocals
John Cabán on dobro & stompbox
& David Rodriguez on upright bass.
We’re reaching deep into the wellspring of vintage American blues, gospel & soul to bring y’all a hip shaking, foot stomping great time!
The O-Tones are a hot New England Swing and Motown band. They’ll melt your hearts and get your feet dancing. They’ve got soul. The band has been playing for public and private events
all over New England since 1990 and is a dynamic entity.
