DOWNTOWN BEATS THURSDAY EVE CONCERT SERIES

Free Thursday Concerts in the Town Commons
5:30 – 7:30 pm

This year, we’re excited to try out a new location for our Thursday concerts in the Town Common on the site where architect Frederick Law Olmstead proposed a bandshell. The stage with covered tent will be set up on Wednesdays and we’re opening the space up to the community.

About the Artists:

The Equalites are a staple in the Pioneer Valley reggae scene, the band has been performing in the region for over 25 years! With four part harmonies and excellent songwriting, sizziling guitar work, deep percussion, and a deep pocket of bass n drums… this is truly ‘a great band with killer reggae groove’. The music is at once reggae, roots music, blue beat, has jazz sensibilities, and much more!

Dave Noonan’s Green Island is a musical collective comprised of talented players from the Northeast music scene. The group plays a groove heavy blend of reggae, ska, afro-jazz, soul, latin, and funk, serving up both deep cuts from the catalogue and original compositions. Dave Noonan’s Green Island is a destination soundscape you do not want to miss!’
