Come learn about our area’s edible wild mushrooms of late autumn!
Massachusetts actually has many great seasons for edible mushrooms. Ryan Bouchard and Emily Schmidt will present a slideshow class featuring all-local mushroom photography on how you can learn to safely find and enjoy these wild fungi. It will cover the basics of mushrooms science and safety, and show you the many diverse and delicious autumn species of our area, including several that are considered safe for beginners to use in cooking. Come learn about this incredibly fun hobby!

Ryan Bouchard and Emily Schmidt started The Mushroom Hunting Foundation to teach Americans how to safely enjoy our nation’s spectacular wild mushrooms. Ryan’s new book Gourmet Mushrooms of the Northeast will be featured at this event.
